Congratulations Sarah Lahbati and Steven Silva!

CONGRATULATIONS SARAH & STEVEN
for winning the Starstruck V!

I expected Sarah's triumph before Ian Batherson's elimination. It's not that the other 2 girls (Nina Kodaka and Diva Montelaba) aren't good..Nina's adorable and Diva is stunningly beautiful---a real Filipina beauty..there's just something in Sarah that made her stand out---elegance of a true lady-- tall, pretty, talented..these are the reasons why I like her.. And I think the council and the Filipinos saw it too..

Well, between the boys, my bet was Steven or Enzo..I get attracted to boys with beautiful voices--and Steven has it--plus the chinky eyes and child-like smile. Enzo--he's adorable! ahahahaha.!
About Rocco--he's really good--no doubt about that...

Anyway, congratulations again!!

OOOOHH--Backstreet Boys will have a concert on February 27, 2010 at Araneta Coliseum!!--unfortunately, i'll not be able to go..
Good luck to them---I hope it'll be successful! ♥

2ne1 Confirms MV For Try To Copy Me

After setting the kpop scene on fire with their debut song and I Don’t Care, 2NE1’s been on the DL and off the kpop radar for a few months now. Well, until they released Try to Copy Me on February 8. Although this song was released for an endorsement with Corby, 2NE1’s song has already scaled its way up the music charts to battle it out with Oh!, SNSD’s comeback song.
As with many other endorsements, such as Dara’s Cass endorsement, a music video reportedly will be filmed for Try to Copy Me.
“We decided to film a music video for 2NE1’s Try to Copy Me. Although we initially had no plans for a music video, we eventually decided to due to the hot response,” a representative said. “Seo Hyun Seung … will direct the music video … which will have a chic & trendy concept.” Seo Hyun Seung has directed other YG productions in the past as well including 2NE1’s I Don’t Care, so this will definitely be a great MV to anticipate.

Although many initially believed that this song would be nothing more than a musical accompaniment to a commercial, there are now rumors that 2NE1’s full comeback is just around the corner.

Nishikido Ryo Becomes A Pastry Chef In "Chonmage Purin"

Director Yoshihiro Nakamura ("Golden Slumber," "Team Batista no Eikou" is working on his next film, based on a novel by newspaper reporter-turned-author Gen Araki. Titled "Chonmage Purin," the movie will star NEWS member Ryo Nishikido (25) in his first big screen role.

"Chonmage Purin" is a strange tale about a young samurai from the Edo period named Kijima Yasube (Nishikido) who slips through time, winding up in the present day. He meets a single mother (Rie Tomosaka) and her 6-year-old son, and through this encounter, he becomes a popular pastry chef.
For the pastry chef role, Nishikido has been undergoing special training at a well-known school since December. He is also practicing for the samurai scenes. He will appear with various hairstyles in the film, which will naturally including the chonmage (topknot).
Filming starts on February 6, and theatrical release is planned for early summer. The supporting cast includes comedian Hiroki Konno, Shiori Kutsuna, Hitomi Sato, Keisuke Horibe, Yuji Nakamura, and Jun Inoue.

~this movie sounds great ne?--a samurai who travels to the future and becomes a chef!!---COOL!!~

KAT-TUN's New Single Promotion Started!

Recently, KAT-TUN members are being active in dramas and movies individually. However, their new single "Love yourself ~君が嫌いな君が好き~" is going to release on February 10th. Members believe "This work will send our own messages" and it is also the theme song of the drama starring Kamenashi Kazuya "ヤマトナデシコ七変化 / Yamatonadeshiko Shichihenge (The Wallflower)"

As Kamenashi reported in his blog, "This is Kamenashi Kazuya! The promotion activity of our new song is officially started! That's for today." Finally KAT-TUN seems to begin their movement. Though there are still a few days to go before the release date, what kind of activity they will have is more than attractive.

Meanwhile, Kamenashi is busy with filming the drama "The Wallflower".

Kamenashi: "We stayed up till 4am in the filming location a few days ago. We Yamanade (initial of Yamatonadeshiko) team had a hot pot on a stove? or a heater? anyway a warming equipment with solid fuel, watching the stars, falling into the hole, talking and sharing the secrets.... Kyohei (the character played by Kamenashi) felt so happy!"

Waahh----I forgot to watch Kame's drama!!---Well, while my Onii's out..I think i'll watch it..XDD

Big Bang Wins Prestigious Awards In Japan

On the 29th – 31st of January, Korean idol group ‘Big Bang’ held their much-awaited concerts in Olympics Park stadium in Korea. Since May last year, Big Bang officially entered the Japanese industry, and have been active there since. At the end of last year, they even won a number of prestigious awards including the Japanese Grand Prix du Disque and ‘Best Newcomer’. Therefore, this concert can be said as a well-deserved triumphant concert!

Without the fire service restrictions from Japan, Big Bang’s concert in Korea was extravagant; the fireworks at the beginning of the concert were 10 times as big as the ones in Japan. And during the whole concert, laser lights shone down at the audience, creating a very hot atmosphere. Big Bang sung 25 songs, including 3 Japanese songs. The organisers also played Japanese words on the big screen, but because Korea does not allow Japanese words to be played on television, only those at the concert were lucky enough to see it. And offstage, almost 30 people fainted from over-excitement and had to be rushed into the emergency room, evidently displaying the degree of fanaticism.

SOL expressed that he hopes music can become the bridge between Korea and Japan. G-Dragon also expressed his excitement of their triumph in Japan, and he wanted to “share the joy of winning awards in foreign countries with fans in our motherland.”

A total of 35,000 people attended their 3-day concerts. Now, Big Bang are preparing to hold 6 concerts in Budokan, Japan in early February, with production costs estimated to exceed $300million yen.

Can't I Love You?

I know I'm too late to react on this..but I just finished watching "Queen Seon Duk" korean drama. Actually, I've seen this at mysoju.com last year, but when I saw the number of episodes (62 eps) I thought it could be boring to be that long. I resent what I did. I'm not exaggerating, but this drama is ...I dunno how to describe it, but I love it from beginning to end. Although the ending part was tragic, who could change it right?--it's part of Korean history, it would end the way it ended in reality; triumph and death.

My favorite characters were Deokman (Queen Seon Duk herself), Alcheon, Lady Mishil, Yushin and last but not the least, Bidam.
I like Deokman for her courage and wits. An extraordinary woman and a great ruler---no doubt about that.
Alcheon for his loyalty and fighting for what is right.
Yushin for supporting Deokman all the way.
Lady Mishil for her devotion and wits. Even though she's the antagonist, like Deokman, she's just fighting for what's important to her; her loyal people and Silla. But there was one thing I didn't like about her..abandoning Bidam, and killing without resent.
Bidam for being devoted to the one he loves, for being a great fighter, for being him in front of Deokman. Honestly, I pitied him..why? All his life, no one cared for him, nobody needed him. His mother abandoned him, Lord Munno never treated him as his own son, he never taught Bidam what's right and wrong, he never acknowledged Bidam's efforts. He didn't feel secured nor loved, until Deokman came into his life.
But it seemed everything was against them. It would've been a happy ending for the two of them.

In the end, the unification of the three kingdoms (Silla, Baekje, Goguryeo) was fulfilled during Kim ChunChu's reign (it's not shown in the drama).

I cried even before Bidam died. It's really sad. It made me want to jump in the screen and hug Bidam. It made me want to kill all the people hindering him and Deokman. Korean dramas never fail to make me cry. Waaahhhh my chest hurts until now, I need to distract myself from this drama or my heart will suffer. It's too early to have any heart ailment (lol + sob= crazy).

I suggest you guys watch it if you haven't yet. It's worth watching. ^^ Plus.. you'll have a brief knowledge about this part of Korean history.

They even made the actor Kim Nam Gil (Bidam) and Lee Yo Won (Deokman) sing for the drama's OST. I bet it was sold out!

Mr. Kim sang "Can't I Love You?" (from Bidam to Deokman):

and Ms. Lee sang "Bidam" (from Deokman to Bidam).

This is Bidam's song's translation:

Even it is so painful, I can’t feel it
Even I’m waiting for you and you wouldn’t come
Even I think of you with shaking so badly, I can’t feel it
Since the day I put your heart in my mind
I can’t put my heart else where
Even if it hurts and breaks my heart apart, I won’t close my heart
I am who was living in a lonely world
You’re the only one who can make me smile
Can’t I love you? Can you come to me?
Just for once, can you hug me in you arms?
You’re the only one I love
Can’t you accept my heart?
The reason why I’m still breathing in this terrible loneliness
It’s all because of you
Can’t I love you? Can you come to me?
Once again, can you hug me in your arms?
You’re the only one I love
For the first time and last time
Even you’re alive, you can’t be held in my arms
Even you throw my heart away from your mind
Can’t I love you? Even if I’m just behind your back
Distantly, I just can look at you from afar
Even if I just can protect your shadow
Even like this, it’s alright.. even only I love you, it’s okay

BIG BANG Interview For Japan Daily Sport

Leader GD’s words of love (and criticism) to the other members?

"This is hard. Let’s see.. Daesung is a bit too mature for his age. It always feels like he’s looking after everyone. It would be nice if he acted more cute and dongsaeng-like. TOP hyung is a type of person who gets sick of things really easily. He has no persistence. If it’s something he likes he gets really into it but he also gets over it really quickly. It would be nice if he could maintain his feelings. I want Taeyang to fall in love, since he never has before. It’s an important experience for artists. It doesn’t have to be a girlfriend, maybe even just a friend. It would be nice if he got a girlfriend though. Seungri should get out more often. He needs to mature. (Seungri: What??! WHAAT??!) Me? I want to expand my outlook on life. I want to become a leader that the other members will trust and follow."

7) Hirai Ken
8) I eat my food really slowly. And I stay at home all day.
9) Anything
10) My vigorous, happy spirit
"Cooking is my specialty. I can make kimchi jjigae really well. (laughs) The secret to my Daesung-style Kimchi Jjigae is instant noodle soup packets. It makes it taste really good. When we lived in Korea, I often made it for the other members. I’d also put in haricot beans sometimes. When I’m alone I don’t really cook much, but I do quite a lot when we’re all together.
My Almighty Bag? Everyone calls it that but..it’s kinda embarrassing. (bitter smile) It’s a bag that I carry around no matter where I go. It’s got bandaids and food and handwarmers and stuff… it’s got everything. (laughs) (“So that you can help your members when they’re in trouble?”) Yeah. (laughs)
Though I may be second youngest, I know I’m mentally one of the oldest. I consider myself an ‘adult’."

6) Blank
7) Shimizushota Ai
8) Practices piano
9) Noodles
10) My singing voice

"I was really surprised when I first came to Japan because of how big the CD stores are! Everytime we came to Japan, I would go to a CD store and buy a new hip hop or R&B album. Though we don’t have the time to anymore. (bitter smile)
To tell the truth, we haven’t had this much free time in 3 years. There was always so much to do. But I think you have to do what you have to in life before you can start to enjoy it.
,Although the single “Fall In Love”, a collaboration with Thelma Aoyama, is due to be released on the 27th, my “Must-do List” for this year is to create more solo songs.
I’m planning to release a solo album.
The first thing on my “Want-to-do List” is going to Okinawa! I’ve always wanted to go there but I’ve never had the time. It has to be for a vacation though, not just for a concert or part of a tour. The ocean is really beautiful there so I want to go diving."

G-DRAGON

2) Friends
3) The villages are really clean
4) Crab
5) Nothing. I like everything
6) “Naruhodo” (indeed), “Koreomoshiroina~” (This is fun~) “Soodesune” (I see)
7) Nakashima Mika
8) I sleep for 24 hours
9) Dwenjang Jjigae
10) My kindness
“I have good pronunciation no matter what language I speak. Maybe it’s because my specialties are rapping and imitating others. Maybe that’s why people think I can fluently speak languages that I can’t, so at like interviews or press conferences people ask me to answer in more detail. It kinda spoils the mood sometimes. (laughs) My favourite Japanese phrases are “Naruhodo” and “Soodesune”. It’s shows you’re paying attention.
On my days off, I sleep no matter what. I’m always busy so I don’t get much time to sleep, so when I’m not busy I sleep for 24 hours! My record is 36 hours. (laughs) It’s a recent record. I didn’t even eat, just went to the toilet first and slept for 2 days.
Desires? I want a girlfriend! (determined smile)
(“Wouldn’t you be too busy to see her often?”) It’s ok. Just having one would be great.
(“You wouldn’t be able to sleep on your days off.” I don’t have to if I get a girlfriend. I don’t sleep on my days off, who told you that? (laughs) It’s ok though! I have my pet Gaho to cheer me up. (1 Year old Chinese Sharpei) In Korea, he’s more famous than I am. (laughs) I’ve had him since he was 8 months old but he grows so fast it’s scary sometimes! He’s already thiiis big! (spreads his arms) He’s at school at the moment though. Studying things like SIT! and TURN AROUND!"

TOP

2) My rings
3) They have so many products with anime characters
4) Sushi, raw fish
5) Umeboshi
6) Bacchishi!
7) BIGBANG
8) Making songs for my solo album
9) Cocktails
10) Blank
“The thing that surprised me the most was that they have so many varieties of BearBrick (bear-shaped block figurines). I like BearBricks so I collect them; one side of my room is completely buried with BearBricks. I have about a thousand. (laughs) Whenever I came to Japan, I would buy a bunch of new ones but since we don’t have time to shop anymore… My favourite Japanese phrase is “ikuradesuka” (how much is it?) – Since it’s the most important phrase to know. (laughs) I also like “bacchiridesu” and “bacchishi”. (I think they mean like, awesome)
Well it’s not really something I can ‘cook’ well, but sometimes when I drink with my friends I make cocktails. Like fruit cocktails for people who aren’t heavy drinkers.
Later this year I’m going to be the main character in a movie directed by Lee JaeHan, director of “A Moment To Remember”. It’s based on war, and co-stars include Kwon Sangwoo. (We’ve already started filming, but I’m trying to focus on this for a while.)
I want to show a different side to me that I haven’t been able to show as a part of BIGBANG."

V.I (Seung Ri)

2) Books
3) They sell meal tickets even for toppings!
4) Gyudon

8) I watch movies or dramas
9) Kimchi Jjigae
10) My dancing
“When I first found out about them (meal tickets) I was sooo surprised! It’s amazing that they can even buy toppings with them!
I have to have egg with my gyudon. Always. I also order kimchi.
I’m learning Japanese through Japanese dramas or variety shows. So I only know how to speak conversationally. I watch stuff like “Boys Before Flowers” and “Nodame Cantabile”. I’ve recently started watching Sakurai Sho’s “The Quiz Show”. And I just watched “Conditions of a Witch” (from 1999) after listening to a song from it. Who sang it? (hums)
Ahhh, Utada Hikaru. She’s so famous.
My favourite Japanese actress would be Miyazaki Aoi.”

Clear Preview of Thelma Aoyama’s Fall in Love with Taeyang

Back in November the Net-world reported that Big Bang’s Taeyang (known as SOL in Japan) would be collaborating with famous J-pop R&B singer Thelma Aoyama on a track titled Fall in Love.
The ring tone of the song already hit #1 on various ring tone sites in Japan and in late December, Thelma performed the track during a fan meeting. However, the quality of the audio from the performance was pretty bad. Now you can hear a clear preview of the song but unfortunately Taeyang’s solo part isn’t included in this preview. The full song is scheduled to be released on January 27, 2010. Thanks to ygcasey for the tip and remember to visit the Big Bang VIP Forums.

Dance Battle: Big Bang’s Taeyang vs. Super Junior’s Eunhyuk

The two best dancers of each group, Big Bang’s Taeyang and Super Junior’s Eunhyuk came face to face on Kang Shim Jang / Strong Heart. I was pretty excited for this one because they’re both known for being amazing dancers.
Both of these talented dancers definitely gave an eyeful for all the female guests and us! Though Eunhyuk is usually the funny man on Kang Shim Jang, he surely got into it while dancing.
It’s been awhile since Taeyang has been on a variety show so it was nice to see him being active as well.

Ahahaha--I dunno, even though both boys were really good..Eunhyuk danced it off with his amazing dance footwork..--those were really fast moves., (even Daesung reacted ~whoooaaaa)..lol.

Goo Hara admits having minor plastic surgery

Korea is notorious for the amount of people that go under the knife and it has become so common that it is no longer considered a “bad” thing. Maybe that is why a girl group idol wasn’t too worried about confessing on her experience with plastic surgery…

Kara’s Goo Hara admitted on Kang Shim Jang / Strong Heart today that she has gotten plastic surgery before.
She said,
"When people tell me it looks like I’ve fixed all parts of my face, it’s so unfair. I already had folded eyelids but to make them more noticeable in pictures, I got them slightly fixed. I didn’t get plastic surgery on my nose, I just got a shot. Also, I’ve had braces for my teeth."

I guess she hasn’t done very much to her face. If you recall, neither has UEE from After School. Since female idols have been gaining the courage to ‘fess up about what alterations were made to their face lately, I wonder who will be the next to step up to the plate.

Kuroki Meisa Full Of Attitude For New Album

Actress Meisa Kuroki, 21, who released her new mini-album, “ATTITUDE,” on Jan 1, says she wants to do live concerts this year, as the sexy young actress continues her foray into singing.

Last April, Kuroki released her first album, titled “hellcat,” featuring a song called “Bad Girl.” The video for the song indicated she is just that, and sees her rolling around in bed in red lingerie. One of the songs on her new album - “Are ya Ready?” - is a damning indictment of conformity that sees Kuroki bounce about in a mirror-walled cube, appealing for people to express themselves and not fear the consequences.
Kuroki, whose father was Panamanian, said she used to dance to Janet Jackson’s music when she was growing up in Okinawa. She also said she hopes to produce music with dancing at its core, and is looking forward to people’s reaction.
